The Sitter (2011)

"The Sitter", an out of work, and suspended from college, Noah Griffith(Jonah Hill) decides to help out his mother by babysitting his neighbors three very unique children. Little does he know their in for the night of their life.
Noah (Hill) is the last possible person you would leave your children alone with; the epitome of a slacker. A college student who lives with his mom and has to ride a bicycle everywhere. The movie opens with Noah at his girlfriends, Marisa Lewis (Ari Graynor) home performing oral sex. When asked if she will return the favor she promptly kicks him out. He goes home to sit on the couch, sulk, and do nothing; as usual. Although, his mother is going out tonight on a double date and the other couples sitter has canceled at the last minute. Noah, feeling a sense of obligation offers to be the fill in as baby sitter. Arriving at the Pedulla residence he meets; Slater (Max Records) the socially awkward, Blithe (Laundry Bender) the 8yr old high school cheerleader, and Rodrigo (Kevin Hernandez) the destroyer.
This is going to be one fantastic voyage. As if grand theft auto, destruction of public property, and being mistaken for a pedophile are not enough, their night is just getting started.
If you enjoyed "Due Date", "Role Models", or "Get Him to the Greek", you will also enjoy this movie. It is very short and playful, but only gives the occasional "LOL" moment. This is the perfect movie to watch on DVD when you are sitting at home on a Saturday evening and want something that will make you smile. Overall is was not terrible, but it was not great either, it lacked the boiling over laughing moments and one liners that the great comedies have that make you watch them over and over again.

I rated this 4 of 10.
Run time: 81 mins
Rated: R
